Mediation
Broward County, Florida, Family Law and Divorce Attorney Deborah Bianchi Tracht is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Mediator.
WHO IS A CERTIFIED MEDIATOR? A certified mediator is an individual who is “certified” and thus “licensed” by the Florida Supreme Court to act in an intermediate negotiation capacity, with the goal being to negotiate a fair and amicable divorce settlement between the two involved parties, thus saving the parties thousands of litigation dollars.
A mediator is NOT the attorney or representative for either side and therefore represents a neutral third party with unbiased involvement. If the mediator is unsuccessful at resolving the issue(s), then the case is litigated, which can be extremely costly, time-consuming, and stressful. A trained divorce mediator brings creative thinking and innovative solutions to the case.
Collaborative Family Law
Ft. Lauderdale/Boca Raton Family Law and Divorce Attorney Deborah Bianchi Tracht is a Trained Officer and director for the South Florida Collaborative Lawyers Association.
WHAT IS COLLABORATIVE LAW? Collaborative Law is a process by which a divorcing couple, with the help of their attorneys and other professionals, essentially negotiate and write their own divorce agreement.
If a couple elects to utilize the collaborative family law process, they each need a specially trained collaborative law attorney. A trained collaborative law attorney brings creative thinking and innovative solutions to the case and remains committed to resolving your case WITHOUT LITIGATION. BOTH parties must agree to this process.
The benefits of collaborative law are many. First, you are in control. A judge does not make the final decisions. That is left to the parties. Second, the cost is generally lower. Litigation and going to court is usually a lengthy and, therefore, expensive undertaking. Collaborative law is far more timely and cost effective. You never go to court, except for a short final hearing to finalize your case. Third, you reduce the amount of stress as the process utilizes other professionals, such as psychologists, therapists, and neutral financial advisors, as needed, to assist the parties.
